I was extremely poor this summer, so I was restricted to where I could afford to go. I went to the new Wolverhampton Pop Art collection as well as Birmingham Art Gallery. Earlier in the Summer I visited the Tate whilst I was down in London and am due to see the Masters collection whilst at Aberystwyth University this weekend.

The new collection at the Peter Scott galley opens the 1st October, so I'm hoping to get up there next week too.

As regards to post cards. I bought them but never got round to actually buying any stamps! ooooppps

Model Plane

I have been working on a model plane, under the slightly tongue in cheek theme of the environment and carbon offsetting. Hence the leaves.

Introspection

Over the summer, as well as performing the tasks that were set I tried to take a more personal approach to my art and find what I am most interested in. As I am joint majoring in Creative Writing and Art I really needed to do this to find a path in which to channel both of my energies so they were at the very least in the same psyche as one another.

This was hard to do. There were days I felt Artistic and days when all I wanted to do was write. Obviously, I had to work through these as I will still have a fixed time table this year. However, it is very difficult not to mention frustrating forcing your brain to hold a biro when it desires a paint brush!

Inversion

I have started this blog to record the new project I am exploring during my Summer break from University.

Also on this I will include photos from the project we were assigned as our "homework".
